I loved reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my 8th graders earlier this year. So many hadn't read the book that they were loving every minute. I just finished reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. Such a great cast of characters. We start the movie tomorrow and both the kids and I are excited! Amanda at His and Her Hobbies

I love The Outsiders! I don't read it with my class, but I do use it to teach echo conclusions. It is such a powerful book!
DeleteIts hard to pick just one book. I do try to make sure my children leave loving Jan Brett and Gail Gibbons. Maria

ReplyDeleteRomeo and Juliet, Alive and Together At Last! Love it! It is so silly and funny, but it sparks an interest in finding out more about the real version.
