IMWAYR: My Little Man is Posting!

Hi!  My name is "Little Man" and I just finished an awesome book called The Finisher by David Baldacci.  My mom asked me to tell you about this book.

First of all, I am a sixth grade student.  This book is absolutely amazing.  It's about a girl named Vega Jane living in a place called Wormwood. But, Wormwood isn't your average lovely town. Wormwood is a place that is very medieval and outside its walls lie the Quaq. The Quaq is a place full of mysteries and dangerous truths. No one has every gone into the Quaq, but then again they were told it was full of death and creatures so vicious they could rip you from limb to limb. Vega Jane has a brother that is full of knowledge and learning, much like me. Her parents are at the Care which is a place for the weak and frail. Vega also has a very best friend named Delph. Vega Jane lives with her brother and soon she lives by herself. She lives by herself with her brother, but that just opened more possibilities for Vega. Vega one day notices that there is a second floor to her work place called Stacks. She goes there and finds something that is to amazing to tell. She repeats going there and finds more mysterious objects each time. Then all things change. Quentin Herms went into the Quaq. No one knows why or how he could survive, but he did. Vega was his Apprentice so she was questioned for all of it. Now Quentin Herms left clues that only Vega Jane can solve. But it could mean Life or Death.

I like this book because it is full of adventure and mystery. Also Vega gets a K-9 companion which I love because I love dogs. Every chapter leaves you hanging and I could not put the book down. I highly recommended it. Thank you for letting me share that with you.

  1. Well hello there, Little Man! Thanks for the book recommendation. I will have to pick this up for the kiddos in my class. Is this a stand alone book or one in a series. Hug your mom for me. I happen to think she is awesome! :)

    1. Thank you for the comment. I'm not sure if The Finisher will be a series, but I hope so. The ending made it seem like could be a series.
      Have a great day.

  2. Thanks "LM"! I'm putting it on the wish list for my library. This one sounds like a great one for my middle schoolers.
